On Monday..myself, Michelle, Rachel and Sonya traveled about 2 hours away to Jinja (Mom..this is the part you should probably skip) to go bungee jumping over the Nile. Oh my word..it was the scariest thing I have ever done, but totally worth it in the end. I don’t really know how I managed to jump off, but I did..and I am still alive. Thank the Lord! I screamed the whole way down and I am pretty sure that I did a flip in mid-air. Crazy!
3..2..1..BUNGEE!
*cue screaming*
this is where I flip..literally and mentally
After jumping, we took some bodas into town to look around the markets and have lunch at a little cafe. Our time in Jinja was beautiful and I think that I have made a memory that I will never forget.
Today..myself, Katrina, Rachel, and one of our nanny friends, Ruth went to Entebbe to visit the zoo and the Botanical Gardens there. The zoo was tons of fun and I felt like I was going on safari again. We saw lions, rhinos, ostrich, crocodiles, antelopes, warthogs..and my very favorite..ZEBRAS!! Oh, and I rode a camel. Ha!
After the zoo we headed to the Botanical Gardens where there are tons of monkeys roaming freely. We had some fun feeding them and they enjoyed climbing on our car.
We also took a stroll through the forest where it was so peaceful and quiet..I loved it. Along the way we found some vines and decided to test out our Tarzan skills.
Just call me Jane.
Rachel and I ended the day looking through the local markets and haggling for some fabric. We were running low on cash and ended up bartering for 6 meters of fabric with 21,800 shillings (about $10) and a lollipop. It was the funniest thing..but it worked and we succeeded in our quest for fabric. Hooray!
I have had so much fun these past few days but I am definitely ready to get back to my babies tomorrow! I have missed them terribly!

Megan, you are definitely your father's daughter as the saying goes. Punkin says it runs in the family (lack of good sense bunging jumping). We are so glad that you finally got to do it. The pictures look like you are really having a great time!Love Grandma & Punkin
Thanks for preparing me for this one! Glad you did it and had a wonderful time in Jinja! The pictures are very good of the adventure! Dad kept the secret very well, too well in fact! I'm glad you have your feet back on the ground though and will be playing with babies tomorrow. Can't wait to hear all about it. Love, Mom
